Greg's background in the financial management arena includes over thirty years of varied experience in progressive roles in a variety of industries with companies ranging in size from start-ups to those in excess of $500 million in revenues. Greg has been involved in the assessment and integration of several mergers and acquisitions, and was responsible for the acquisition of his own company. He has also been involved with preparing exit strategies and preparing companies for sale.
While these operational environments differ significantly, there are common foundational financial disciplines that foster success in all well managed and accountable organizations. General Accounting and Financial Reporting are key disciplines required to accurately monitor the company's financial performance, detailed Budgeting and Financial Planning are required to assist in focusing on the company's strategic objectives, and teamwork and mentoring are required to assist with alignment in organizations. An experienced financial professional can be a powerful asset in improving productivity, ensuring there is adequate cash to operate and focusing the company's resources on accomplishing strategic objectives. Without these resources and disciplines, companies tend to fall short of their potential.
As a "hands-on" financial manager, Greg has assisted organizations in achieving solid general accounting and financial reporting operations in an international environment, developed budgeting and financial reporting systems working with operating management to mentor and improve their understanding of key financial metrics and how they can have maximum impact, negotiated lines of credit with lenders to ensure there is adequate cash resources to fund the organization, and has helped prepare companies for sale.
Greg's past roles have included Chief Financial Officer for two international organizations and a domestic organization funded by private equity. Earlier roles have included Corporate Controller, Vice President of Finance, Plant Controller, Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, along with Accounting Supervisor, Financial Analyst, and Cost Accountant. This experience has been gained in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, food service, aviation, and retail.
Greg has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University, and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Bentley College. He lives in the Orlando, FL area with his wife Paula and enjoys following baseball and playing golf when he is not assisting clients achieve their objectives.
